TOP TEN PURCHASE QUESTIONS
Basic Questions:

1.  What do you charge for your puppies?

For 2011

A pet puppy, with limited American Kennel Club  registration, start at
  $800 up.
A show/breeder puppy with full registration
  $1500 up.

2. Why the difference?

At about 4 to 6 wks of age we evaluate each puppy to the best of our ability and decide which we may keep or which we are selling. We also deterimine if "we" think the pup has a show potential or not. The puppies are evaluated according to the AKC Chow Chow Standard. Of course this is arbitrary and does not guarantee that the pup will be a "winner", only that at this stage he appears to meet the criteria.

3. What if I buy a "pet" puppy and later decide that I would like to breed or show it?

We are not the dog police, and do not "require"   pet puppies to be spayed or neutered.  However, we do strongly urge all pet owners to do so.  Any puppies from a limited registered parent, cannot be registered with AKC.  HOWEVER,  AKC does allow the breeder (us) to change the registration. If you decide you'd be interested in showing or just really "have to have" a puppy from your beloved pet,we can revert the paperwork to FULL AKC registration. This would only be done after we are compensated for the difference in our breeding/show price. It would also have to be determined that there are no health issues that would make such a change undesirable. We would discuss this situation individually should the issue arise.

4.  How do I go about reserving a puppy?

Once you've decided you want one of our puppies, I suggest you contact us and discuss the the matter to make sure that the chow is the right breed for you.  Because it it not always the easiest of breeds to handle  you really must do your homework or be familiar with the breed.  These "teddy bears" can be real "grizzlies" if not handled properly. If after discussing it with us, then you  can send a $250 "non-refundable" deposit to reserve a puppy of the type you desire.
WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING CREDIT CARDS via PAYPAL
You can use the link below.
We will send you a dated receipt for your deposit via email once we recieve it.

5.  How would I be able to choose a puppy?

When a litter of puppies arrive and we feel safe that they are going to be ok, we notify the people with deposits and inform them of the arrival and whether or not we have a puppy of the type they desire. If we have more than one person wanting the same type puppy, first choice goes to the person whose deposit was recevied first. The person whose deposit was second gets the second choice and so.  If we do not have a puppy available in this litter of the type you want, your deposit is transfered to the next litter, and so on, until we have the puppy of your choice. It is our goal to make sure that you AND the puppy are going to be happy with each other. Once we've made our determinations, we take photos and send them to you so you can determine if this or that puppy is the the one for you. The puppies will have color coded collars and/or names. The pictures will have some sort of identifying fact so there will be no misunderstandings.  Once you have picked out your puppy we will send you pictures at least once a week so you can see it grow.  It's unbelievable how much they change over their first 8 weeks.

6.  Do you ship and what is the cost involved?

Yes, we do ship to most all major cities within the Continetenital U.S.  via priority pet services only. Shipping is at the buyer's expense and at this time is $350 which should cover all involved exprenses, crates, vet exams, paper work insurance etc.   We do not tranquilize our puppies as this is not recommended for health reasons.  We have found that they handle shipping quite well.  Contrary to many horror stories (we've heard them too) we've shipped many puppies with great success and thus far no serious difficulties.  We can't say the same for the various land transport companies, but that's another story.    You send us the cost of shipping and tell us where you want the puppy sent to and we'll make all the arrangements and inform you of where and when  to pick up your puppy, what airlines, flight, time etc.,  or what options are available.  Thankfully the airlines do impose certain temperature restrictions which we happily abide by but these can usually be dealt with , but may require a little rescheduling.

7.  Can I pick my puppy up there?

Most definitely!  We prefer people pick up their puppies here,  but realize that is not always feasible. In "most" cases we will have both parents on the premises for you to see if you come here and will be quite pleased to show them to you along with any of the others of our gang.  We like to show them off.

8.  Where and how do I send the deposit?

Provided the puppy is not over 6wks old we accept, a personal check, money order cashiers check or you can use the paypal link below.  To send by mail the address is:
Edward or Sandra Lopez
10955 Indian Creek Rd
Baxter, TN  38544

If the pup is 6wks or older we do not accept personal checks.

9.  When can I get my puppy?

All pups MUST be at least 8wks of age before we allow them to leave.  We do not let them go any younger so please don't ask. If necessary that you get the puppy any later than 9 wks we would need to notified  and the situation agreed upon between us.

10.  What kind of health guarantee do I get?

We guarantee all our puppies to be of good health, free of any defect or disease at the time of sale.  They will be vet checked and all age appropriate medications will be administered prior to their leaving here. This usually includes 2sets of puppy shots and numerous wormings.  You will receive  a history of what he/she has had and what they will need to get.  We require that you take the puppy to your vet within 5 days of your receiving it and should your vet find anything wrong with it,  contact us immediately and we will take the puppy back and refund your money.  The puppy is guaranteed free of any serious genetic defect for one year.  While we strive to breed "only" good eyed dogs we do not however, guarantee them for entropion since  it is a prominent (abeit minor) problem in chows and can have different causes.  WE'd be happy to discuss this issue with you.

We are always here to answer any questions or help you and your puppy in anyway we can. We are not a puppy mill or fly by night backyard breeder and our major desire is that we hope our pups will mean as much to you as they do to us.
